Expanded WRAS-Certified needle valve range

Expansion of our WRAS-certified needle valve range: now includes new diameters from DN 450 to DN 1200

We are excited to announce the expansion of our WRAS certified needle valve range, which now includes new diameters: from DN 450 to DN 1200.

What is WRAS Certification?
WRAS (The Water Regulations Approval Scheme) is an independent UK certification body for plumbing products and materials, helping businesses and consumers choose compliant products that have been tested to keep water safe.
A WRAS approval is an easy way to demonstrate that a material or water fitting is of a suitable quality and standard against the water fittings regulations.

Why is this certification so important?
WRAS certification ensures that products used for water supply, such as taps, pipes, and water-saving devices, meet stringent safety and quality standards. The products are deemed suitable if they pass essential material and mechanical performance tests to prevent contamination of drinking water.

How we obtained WRAS Certification
All the non-metallic components have already been certified and approved in accordance with Reg. 4 and/or WRAS.
Here are the additional tests that have been done to verify compliance of the new range of valves with the WRAS Standard:

  • Closure Test: to verify that valve seat could completely stop the flow of water when in the closed position;
  • Porosity: to check that there aren’t signs of leakage or seepage through the walls of the fitting;
  • Measurement of linear dimensions: to verify the integrity and reliability of joints, ensuring there are no vulnerable points that could cause leaks or water contamination;
  • Marking for identification: to ensure that products are properly marked for a correct identification.

WRAS certification is more than just a regulatory requirement; it’s a commitment to providing you safe water.
